Every August 7, we celebrate Aged Care Employee Day to honour the dedicated individuals who care for our loved ones.

This day recognises the exceptional skill and compassion that our support staff possess and thank them in helping support seniors into their later years.

It’s a time to express our gratitude for those who provide vital support and companionship to ensure everyone receives the care they deserve.

The History of Aged Care Employee Day

Aged Care Employee Day was established in 2018 by Whiddon, a residential care provider, to highlight and recognise the dedication and hard work of aged care support workers.

This special day not only acknowledges the efforts of nurses, care workers and support staff but also aims to raise awareness about the challenges of working in this passionate field.

Why it is important to appreciate Aged Care Employees

Like many others, the in-home aged care sector is currently experiencing a significant staff shortage. This can result in longer wait times for supporting Australians who need help in their homes.

At Carers’ Network, we are dedicated to uplifting and valuing our carers, ensuring they feel appreciated and supported in their crucial roles.

We strive to motivate our carers to continuously thrive in their rewarding careers. We offer a nurturing environment and a strong support system, making sure our carers know their hard work is recognised and cherished.

By creating a caring and encouraging atmosphere, we aim to inspire more individuals to join this fulfilling profession and make a positive impact on the lives of our senior clients.

Thanking our Aged Care Employees

At Carer’s Network we want to extend a heartfelt acknowledgment to every individual who dedicates their time and care to improving the lives of others. Your compassion and resilience make a difference to those you support, and it does not go unnoticed.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the remarkable contributions carers make and the profound impact carers have on the lives of our community.  Let a carer know, whether it is an employee, family member or friend that you are grateful for everything they do, and their hard work is appreciated.
