Support at Home Program Launch Delayed to 1 November 2025

The Australian Government has announced that the new Support at Home program will now commence on 1 November 2025, a short delay from the original July start date.
This change comes after feedback from sector experts and providers. It allows more time to ensure everything is in place to deliver the right care, the right way, with minimal disruption. The aim is clear: to build a high-quality, respectful and sustainable aged care system that puts participants at the centre of their care.
While this shift gives the government more time to prepare, Carer’s Network is already working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for our clients. We’ve been following the development of Support at Home closely and we’re ready to guide you through what’s ahead with clarity and care.

For now, current programs, including the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care will continue as normal until Support at Home begins later this year.
